Innovation:
We've worked with organisations who face a range of innovation challenges. For example: needing to increase revenues via new product innovation, wanting to develop more creative or transformational ways of cutting costs or developing more efficient processes, needing a more creative culture or atmosphere in order to evolve in the face of fast moving markets or changing conditions or simply to create a more creative and innovative feel around the office. Our work in these areas focuses on enabling more innovative working relationships between members and stakeholders of the project, team or organisation - and with their ultimate customers. Through innovative relationships comes innovative products, services, teams, projects and organisations.
Case study: An innovation event focused on customer experience.
The challenge: Help a division of a large organisation
generate and develop ideas for improving customer experience and shift the team culture towards greater innovation.
What we were asked to do: Design and deliver
a large-group workshop that would have a long term impact - while being fun and rewarding.
This involved:
-
Designing the implementing the workshop. We drew
on the World Cafe and Action Inquiry methodologies.
-
Generating compelling and involving invitations.
-
Working closely with director-level stakeholders to
agree the expected quality of participation and behaviour from them.
-
Sourcing a wide range of stimulus - working with third
party suppliers.
-
Leading the facilitation at the event and leading
and mentoring a large group of facilitators.
-
Liasing and working closely with a third-party event
management company, who provided some of the logistical support.
What happened:
Our client said: "Mark really
came through with the goods and it really worked. It was something very
different for our culture but it got people both thinking and doing things
differently.”
The output of the event itself included a "Top
10" must-dos for the division as well as a personal promise for change
that each person generated and took away for themselves.
A series of new relationships and connections we made, many of which have since flourished - leading to more creative working practices across the division.
People frequenly talk about the experiences they had on the day - and use these to inform and stimulate innovations within their own working areas. |
